ethylhexylglycerinHexcine is a multifunctional cosmetic ingredient. It enhances the efficacy of preservatives and acts synergistically with other antimicrobial agents. Due to its antimicrobial effect against odor-causing bacteria, Hexcine is also an effective deodorant. Hexcine further has the function of a medium-spreading emollient. It improves the sensation of formulations by increasing absorption speed and reducing tackiness, greasiness, and soaping effects.
Hexcine is non-ionic and effective at any pH level. It dissolves in water in the presence of surfactants or solubilizers.
