E-Leen P8

E-Leen P8 is a multifunctional ingredient that creates self-preserving cosmetics at low use levels and within a wide pH range. It is a versatile, easy-to-use alternative to conventional preservatives that is 100% biobased and COSMOS- and NATRUE-approved.

E-Leen P8 demonstrates broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against yeasts, molds, and bacteria. Since E-Leen P8 is non-ionic, its antimicrobial effect is largely pH-independent.

E-Leen P8 is a synergistic combination of two active components:

Caprylyl Glycol of 100% vegetal origin, which is well known for its skin humectant and antimicrobial boosting effects, is another key component.

Phenylpropanol of 100% vegetal origin is a natural aroma component with antimicrobial properties, particularly against fungi. Thanks to its faint and pleasant scent, Phenylpropanol can mask unpleasant odors. These properties, along with its low usage level, make E-Leen P8 particularly attractive for hygiene and deodorant applications.
