Building Blocks for your future

ETHYL SUCCINYL CHLORIDE (ESC)

Ethyl Succinyl Chloride (ESC) is a clear and colourless liquid.

It is an acid chloride which has to be stored in a cool and dry place to avoid any degradation.

It is a Building Block which is mainly used to produce Erythromycin Ethyl Succinate which is a useful generic product. Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic with a wide antimicrobial spectrum but Erythromycin is also easily inactivated by gastric acids; therefore, all orally-administered formulations are given as either enteric-coated or more-stable salts or esters, such as erythromycin ethylsuccinate.

Thanks to its acid chloride group, ESC is easy to react and can also be a very interesting Building Block to insert 4 carbons, including 2 carbonyl groups located at the two extremities, in a more elaborated molecule. So, it is an interesting molecule for fine chemical and pharmaceutical companies which are developing some custom synthesis for Life Science industry.

Minakem, the sister company of Minasolve, is producing ESC for decades on its production site located in Beuvry-la-Forêt (Northern France). It is the most important European producer and its knowledge and its organization are ensuring a very good control of the production.

Minasolve is selling ESC to all of customers who are looking for a reliable quality and fair prices. We usually are maintaining some safety stocks to be able to give a quick delivery to our customers.

If you need some ESC or some more elaborated derivatives, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
